At the Peace Museum, also known as the "Kamikaze Pilot Museum," you can learn about what happened in Chiran at the end of World War II. Exhibits include four kamikaze planes, pilots' letters and testimonies, and photographs of 1,306 pilots. On the way back to the starting point, stop at Bucken Hill for panoramic views of Mt. Kaimon and the Tea Terrace. Chiran is also famous for its high-quality green tea. Be sure to try some freshly brewed green tea or the famous green tea ice cream!
