overview

Kagoshima is a land of vast natural beauty stretching approximately 600km from north to south. Among these is the active volcano Sakurajima, which stands out prominently in Kagoshima Bay. Japan is one of the world's leading volcano-rich countries, boasting 111 active volcanoes and offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the Earth's vitality. Circumnavigating Sakurajima, arguably the most active of all the active volcanoes in Japan, is known as "Sakuichi" (circumnavigating Sakurajima). Sakuichi is one way to fully enjoy Japan's most active volcano. Sakurajima is designated a national park, but do you know why? What is it like living alongside a volcano? Why not embark on a journey around Sakurajima, an island with unique landscapes, and explore them?
