Overview

A volcano guide will take you through the Sakurajima Visitor Center, the "Mini Volcano Museum" near Sakurajima Port, and the lava fields formed by the Taisho eruption (1914). You can learn about the history of the volcano while viewing the exhibits in the visitor center, and see the real thing on the lava trail. This is a guided tour that can only be seen at a real active volcano. On the coast, you can also enjoy the lava that flowed into the sea and the magnificent scenery of Kinko Bay (Kagoshima Bay). "The Earth is alive!"
