Sakurajima was formed approximately 26,000 years ago and is an active volcano that continues to emit smoke. It is easily accessible from downtown Kagoshima. At Lava Nagisa Park, you can enjoy the magnificent lava fields and foot baths. This tour is for those arriving at Kagoshima Port by cruise ship. Senganen
Sengan-en was built in 1658 by Mitsuhisa, the 19th head of the Shimazu clan. The garden, overlooking Sakurajima, is one of Kagoshima Prefecture's most scenic spots. The garden overlooking Sakurajima is one of the prefecture's most representative landscapes. Within the 50,000m2 grounds, where flowers bloom in every season, you'll find the Shoko Shuseikan Museum, which displays documents and cultural assets related to the Satsuma domain and the Shimazu clan, as well as the palace, which was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2015 as a place that led Japan's modernization.
