    [Shiratani Unsuikyo Gorge] Taikoiwa New Trail Hike (4-5 hours) This extended hike goes beyond the standard route deep into the Shiratani Unsuikyo Gorge, passing iconic spots like Kugurisugi, Shiratani Mountain Cabin, Shichihonsugi, the mossy Mononoke Forest (the inspiration for the film "Princess Mononoke"), and Tsuji Pass before heading to the highlight, Taikoiwa.
