🌿 About the product This Japanese tea is carefully grown in the naturally rich Koinohara area of Hioki City, Kagoshima Prefecture. It is produced by the JA Satsuma Hioki "AIAGAP HIOKI Tea Division". They are particular about soil preparation and use their own blended fertilizer and **organic compost "Yokando" derived from food waste. This "Yokando" is an eco-friendly compost that reuses food waste from Hioki City and Kagoshima City. The power of microorganisms softens the soil, the roots grow firmly, and the flavor and aroma of the tea leaves become even richer. This initiative has been highly praised and won the Good Design Award in 2022.
