Located in Kurino Plateau, Yusui Town, Kagoshima Prefecture Kirishima Art Forest is This outdoor art museum is located at an altitude of just over 700m at the northern foot of the Kirishima Mountains. The natural terrain and forests are used as the stage, 23 outdoor sculptures and installations by renowned artists from Japan and abroad will be on display. The exhibits are displayed along a garden path that is approximately 2km long.
What makes this museum unique is its exhibition concept, which centers around the viewing space itself. The artwork and nature are in harmony, and the process of discovering the artwork while walking through the forest is It's an experience that stimulates all five senses.

At Kirishima Open Air Museum, the "exhibition location, surrounding trees, topography, and scenery" are part of the exhibition. A sculpture suddenly appears in a corner of the forest, guiding the viewer's gaze using the terrain. The composition includes a view of Sakurajima from the stairs of the observation hall.
