Nagashima Museum of Art

A hilltop museum embraced by sky and light
This museum boasts one of the prefecture's best views, offering a panoramic outlook of Sakurajima, Kagoshima Bay, and Kagoshima City.
Its collection primarily features paintings, sculptures, and ceramics by artists associated with the region,
along with Western modern and contemporary art, including Impressionist works from the 19th century onward and pieces from the École de Paris.
Visitors can admire a diverse range of works across seven exhibition rooms within the museum.
Additionally, the garden, home to subtropical plants and seasonal flowers, displays numerous outdoor sculptures,
creating a space where nature and art harmoniously intertwine.
